☀️ The Psychology Behind Doing Something Enjoyable When You Wake Up.
Dopamine is your everything as a creator. It is what get’s people to watch or enjoy your creations in the first place. This intentional act of doing something you want to do releases dopamine, the "feel-good" neurotransmitter, which not only uplifts mood but also enhances motivation and focus for tasks ahead. This could be the motivation you have been missing to push through a difficult creative time or project.
Engaging in activities we're passionate about releases a surge of energy and enthusiasm. This momentum often spills over into other tasks, turning even mundane chores into opportunities to harness and continue that initial energy.
🕺🏻 How I Personally Kickstart My Day
- I check my emails while still in bed because it builds a type of healthy stress that motivates me and gets me in the right mindset of all that I have to do. This is actually something I like to do surprisingly.
- I take a cold plunge every morning because it separates my mind and body and gives me clarity that I haven’t been able to achieve in any other way which then boosts my productivity and creativity.
- I do breathing exercises, typically the double breath method which also helps me separate mind and body and gives me a sort of spiritual experience.
- I will usually listen to some calming or uplifting music or podcasts that really get me motivated to match the people’s success that I am trying to emulate or even surpass.
- After doing all this I am about ready to start my day and happy to do so productively and efficiently.
🏃🏻♂️ Activities to Kickstart a Day
- 🧘♂️Meditation: Start with a calming meditation session. It can help you find focus and instill a sense of peace that lasts throughout the day.
- 🧊Cold Plunge: Jump into a cold body of water or take a brisk cold shower to invigorate the senses, boost circulation, and kickstart your metabolism.
